When I first started blogging, I was terrified to write.
I'd never written anything that strangers would read, and the thought of putting my words out into the world was more than a little intimidating.
So I joined an online writing group called The Red Dress Club.
Every week we'd receive a writing prompt and challenge ourselves to write something new. Some stories were funny. Some were heartfelt. Some stretched me completely outside my comfort zone.
It turned out to be one of the best things I ever did.
I became a better writer, gained confidence, and met an incredible group of people—many of whom I've since met in person and still consider friends today.
The club eventually came to an end, but it gave me something much bigger than a collection of stories.
It gave me my voice.
Most of the pieces you'll find here are fiction. A few are true. I'll let you decide which is which.
